Cambodian Reinsurance Company (Cambodia Re)
Cambodian Reinsurance Company, known as Cambodia Re, was established under Sub-Decree No. 07AN.KR.MK by the Royal Government of Cambodia on 24 the January 2002. Based on the Insurance Law, the company must have the registered capital of USD 7 million for its operation. In order to build up the capacity and financial strengths with the ideal of privatization, company reached a Joint Venture agreement with Asian Insurance International (AII) with the sales of 20 percent of share of Cambodia Re on 16 the January 2004.

Cambodian National Insurance Company (CAMINCO)
Incorporated officially in 1990, CAMINCO is the first Cambodian National Insurance Company in Cambodia of which its operations have put into service since the mid June 1993.
Following the Insurance Law, which came into effect in year 2000, and Sub-Decree on Insurance in year 2001, CAMINCO restructured its status to become a Public Enterprise following Sub-Decree Nº132 dated December 31st, 2001. CAMINCO is the first company, which meets capital requirement of USD 7 Millions (Riel 28,000 Millions) and the only entity received a 5-year license on General Insurance Services from the Ministry of Economy and Finance on December 12th, 2002.
As committed in the mission statement, CAMINCO in reformation of three years operation as commercial enterprise opened its representative office in the economic potential city and province, Siem Reap city, BANTEAY MEANCHEY province and a claim handling agent in the International seaport city, Sihanouk Ville leads CAMINCO to assist its clients very promptly and efficiently.

Being driven behind by the local tycoon who has done multi business operation, this company was set up and launched a grand opening on 25 July 2007 after obtaining a license from the ministry of Economy and Finance. The establishment of this company is an additional capacity in an Insurance Industry which helps to expand more new product, despite of saying that it is a new competitor.
